Facilities

The Village Hall consists of the main hall, a spacious kitchen, male and female toilets plus an accessible toilet with baby-change facilities, a covered area to the side, and an enclosed rubberized tarmac surface area and astro-turfed play area to the rear.

The hall is heated (the thermostat is next to the toilet entrance) and there are ample plug sockets situated within the main hall and kitchen.  There is no wi-fi or sound system.

Access to the rear garden is through a small room which contains the cleaning supplies cupboard.

7 tables live in the hall; further tables and chairs are to be found in the shed accessed through the covered area.  There are 10 rectangle tables (183 cm long x 76 cm wide x 74 cm high: roughly the size of an internal door) and approximately 80 chairs, plus 8 child-sized rectangle tables (122 cm long x 68.5 cm wide x 54.6 cm high) and 31 child-sized chairs available for use.

The main hall measures 35' x 23' (10.6m x 7.0m) and has a polished wooden floor.  It is 8 ft high (please be aware that most bouncy castles require 10 ft clearance so are unable to be placed inside the hall, but there is space outside for them).   It has picture rails from which multiple vertical hangers can be hung for art exhibitions etc. and there is also a pull-down projector screen.  There is no projector and no wi-fi.

The kitchen contains a single electric oven with four hobs and grill, a fridge-freezer, microwave, sink, urn and kettles.  An assortment of crockery (mugs, cups & saucers, glasses and some plates) and cutlery is also available.  A useful hatch links the main hall to the kitchen and is sealed off via an electric opening.

There is disabled access to the hall, with car parking available directly outside the front door.  The car park itself has 18 spaces.

Please note the maximum capacity of the hall for insurance purposes is 100 people. It fits a maximum of 60-70 people comfortably for a sit-down meal.
