 Marlow Bottom Pre-School CIO

The Marlow Bottom Pre-School CIO is a popular and successful Pre-School, catering for the needs of children between 2 and 5 years of age.

We provide a happy, warm and friendly environment where children can thrive and learn under the supervision of trained, caring and competent staff.

Established in the early 1960's the pre-school was specifically opened in the Village Hall to provide a happy and stimulating environment for the children of the community. In 1990, the pre-school became a parent run pre-school and achieved charity status shortly afterwards.

Behind the hall there is a large enclosed garden that we use all year round, weather permitting. The pre-school is surrounded by woodland providing a source of natural materials and a secure area for the children to explore and learn about the environment.

Women's Institute (WI)
The Marlow Bottom Women's Institute was formed in 1942. We are a group of 80 members and the main WI group meets at the Village Hall at 1 pm on the 2nd Thursday each month. We normally have a speaker and cover a variety of subjects. In addition we have outings and social events.
There is currently a waiting list to join,and membership is restricted to residents of the valley.

There are a number of sub~groups eg. handicraft, art, cookery, walking, book reading and creative writing.  The WI Art Group meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at 2 pm; the WI Craft Group meets on the 4th Thursday of the month also at 2 pm.

Marlow Art and Crafts 

Our monthly demonstration meetings take place on the first Thursday of the month from September through to June inclusive. They are usually held in the evening (7.30 to 9.30pm) but in January and February we meet in the afternoon (2pm to 4pm.) Members can attend free of charge and non-members are welcome for a small fee payable on the door. We invite an established guest artist or craftsperson to speak and demonstrate a technique or medium. During the year we cover a wide range of media and subjects and there is always something to inspire the audience.

Table Tennis
An informal, social and fun table tennis club that has been running in Marlow Bottom for over 50 years. We meet at the Village Hall every Monday at 8.15 pm and every Wednesday at 8pm, welcome all levels of player and we can supply you with a bat if you just want to give it a try.

To cover the costs of hiring the hall, replacement of club equipment & refreshments there is a small charge of £2.50.

Roughly once a month on Sundays.


Join Phoebe for a relaxing gong bath on Sundays. Take some time out for yourself and be bathed by the powerful sound waves created by the gongs.

Reiki & Meditation


 Reiki Share – Every 2nd Tuesday of the month 7.30pm

Open to anyone who has been trained in any level or style of Reiki. It’s a welcoming space to give and receive Reiki, connect with like-minded people, and deepen your practice.


 Gifts of the Earth Meditation Circle – Every 4th Tuesday of the month 7.30pm

Each month we journey with a different combination of herbs, crystals, and essential oils. It’s a beautiful blend of learning, ritual, and inner exploration.

Zumba with Jennifer


Fridays 7-7.45 pm

£7 per class
(or buy 5 classes and get 6th class free)


Zumba is a fun dance workout to a mix of songs and lots of Latino rhythms. Jennifer encourages you to let go, shake it off, wiggle those hips and enjoy moving your body to the music. Feel free to take it at your own pace, while you build on your own fitness levels. Please wear trainers, exercise clothes and bring a bottle of water. Arrive 5-10 minutes before class to register and pay.
